Scientific research and technology transfer are the two major fields at all times on the VNU's agenda. As is typical of an institution for basic sciences, our programme encompasses a wide spectrum of research areas and relates to all leading-edge studies currently conducted by its faculties and departments.

In_addition to appreciable achievements obtained inregards to pure science research in the field of specific traditional disciplines such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and geology, recent years have seen multi-disciplinary study findings of high applicability, giving birth to practical works and products.

The School is highly committed to channeling its efforts into the cutting-edge fields of Information Technology, Bio-Technology, Environmental Science and science technology applications to production and life.

Scientific research has been a valuable milieu for exchange and co-operation between the School's faculty and scientists worldwide. This has triggered research and educational relationship with international universities and research institutes.
